When did you first hear The Wildhearts?
The first time I heard the band was when I was producing the Radio 1 Breakfast Show and I got sent ‘Greetings From Shitsville’. I loved the full on energy and rock spirit of the track and was keen to support new British rock bands at Radio 1. “I remember writing ‘Caffeine Bomb’ really clearly,” explains Ginger. “It was late ’93 and I’d woken up in the middle of the afternoon with the kind of hangover that makes you think death is preferable. My head was throbbing and I had to get rid of it by any means possible.”
